Linear Synchronised Flow Divider

Your specialist for

synchronous hydraulics®

With the linear synchronised flow divider, LGM for short, not only can a wide variety of hydraulic applications be precisely synchronously controlled, but up to 16 hydraulic cylinders can even be controlled simultaneously. This flexibility in application and design is one of the great advantages of our linear synchronised flow divider. Whether you want to control 2 or 16 hydraulic cylinders, we can adapt the LGM to your needs. It can be used in pressure ranges from 20 to 700 bar.

Our linear synchronised flow divider is an all-rounder among our products. It has been indispensable for absolutely synchronous hydraulic movement since 1994. It redefines

How it works

The LGM system is a hydromechanical synchronisation device which realises synchronisation with the dosing principle. The required oil volume is dosed with high precision via the main and dosing pistons, with a freely selectable volume. A large main piston is permanently connected to several dosing pistons of the same size. The main piston drive circuit and the dosing piston circuit are not connected to each other. To ensure that the liquid in the dosing piston and the main piston moves at the same speed and pressure, the entire piston area of the dosing piston is the same size as the main piston area. So there is no pressure transmission here. If the load rises due to a higher force on a dosing piston, the force on this cylinder is increased or the force on the remaining dosing piston is evenly reduced by this effort due to the dependence on the main piston. This dependency thus guarantees synchronous operation of the dosing pistons.

The control

The LGM valve block can be used to perform various functions and different movements, with the emphasis on high flexibility. We use the chaos mode, for example, to drive hydraulic cylinders to a resistance, and then the power stroke can be executed synchronously. In order to avoid unwanted air inclusions, the LGM has the "flushing and venting" function which is also used for commissioning and tuning the system. Pressure and speed of the system can be controlled by a proportional valve via the main piston. This movement is synchronously transmitted from the dosing pistons to the connected hydraulic cylinders. The synchronously operated hydraulic cylinders can be secured via a lowering brake valve.

Compression compensation

In principle, the tolerance of the synchronous run is influenced by the fluids used. For hydraulic oil, the compression volume is given as 0.7% per 100 bar.
In order to eliminate the compression error and further improve the accuracy of the LGM system, we have developed a compensation system that regulates this deviation. This has enabled us to reduce the deviation by more than 85%.

The linear synchronised flow divider system with Lemacher compensation achieves maximum precision without loss of time. With an efficiency of over 97%, this system is the most economical and energy-efficient synchronous solution on the market.
Our linear synchronised flow divider systems have been in use since 1994. With the development of compensation, the linear synchronised flow divider is constantly being given new tasks. The LGM is appreciated and successfully used by our customers due to its economical mode of operation, its simple maintenance and minimal service effort.
